Prior to joining KV, Amy founded AKalaid, an on-demand operations and growth firm supporting startups, venture capital firms, and global brands. Before AKalaid, she was a Partner at Andreessen Horowitz, where she built the firm’s market development program, helped launch the New York office, and expanded its reach across the U.S. and Europe. In this role, she worked closely with portfolio companies including Slack, GitHub, Pinterest, Databricks, and Airbnb, while briefing more than 200 organizations annually, including Disney, American Express, and the United Nations.
Earlier in her career, Amy began on Wall Street selling enterprise software at IBM and Salesforce, and later led the global strategic alliances program at DigitasLBi (Publicis). This combination of enterprise, startup, and agency experience shaped her approach as a hands-on growth and operations partner.
Amy is committed to supporting underrepresented founders through advising, pro bono work, and global partnerships with organizations including WeWork Labs and Google for Startups. She is a frequent speaker on workplace equity and second-generation gender bias, presenting at the Grace Hopper Celebration and TED, and has written for The Spectator on the impact of COVID-19 in New York City.
