Ryan Scott

Ryan Scott is an Operating Partner at Khosla Ventures, focused on marketing and growth for the portfolio companies. He comes with a proven track record in driving growth and market share across e-commerce, services, and technology businesses. As Etsy’s first CMO and Head of International, he helped grow GMV from $3 billion to $14 billion, tripling active users and expanding the brand to 220 countries. Under his leadership, AdAge recognized Etsy as the brand of the year in 2020.

Ryan was also pivotal in Grubhub Seamless’ growth, driving GMV from $100 million to $6 billion, which led to the company’s IPO. He has also held CMO and CCO roles at SoulCycle and Slice, and was the co-CEO of Pond5, which Shutterstock acquired. He has been named to Forbes’ Entrepreneurial CMO 50 and served on Google’s Retail Advisory Council and Meta’s Leadership Council. He currently serves on the board of Rover.

Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in biological and physical anthropology and marketing from the University at Buffalo and pursued a master’s in strategic advertising and communications at Columbia University.
