Yves Falanga

Yves is an Associate at Khosla Ventures focused on life science companies. Yves is committed to understanding ways by which therapeutics can be optimized for each individual patient, and how access to healthcare can be efficiently deployed in resource limited settings. He is interested in applications of AI tools in drug discovery, medical data privacy, clinical trials, and in the optimization of drug administration.  

Prior to KV, Yves worked at EcoR1 Capital, a San Francisco based biopharma hedge fund, where he was an analyst and entrepreneur in residence. He helped manage ~ $4.5B AUM, deployed in late private and publicly traded biopharma companies, encompassing multiple modalities and therapeutic indications. Prior to that, he was a senior scientist at Repertoire Immune Medicine, where he helped build the immunology team and scale their in-house R&D capabilities. 

He completed his postdoctoral training in pediatrics infectious diseases and immuno-oncology at the University of Massachusetts Medical school, and has a PhD in Immunology from Virginia Commonwealth University where he studied mechanisms of allergy and anaphylaxis. Yves obtained his undergraduate degree in cell and molecular biology from Université de Rennes 1 in France.  He has authored 11 publications with 700+ citations.
